Functionality Designer/Engineer | Providence

Are you curious, engaged and seek to contribute to the lives of users and to society? Do you believe that impact comes with collective action that is driven by people who are empowered to act autonomously? And you believe that with our mutual inspirations and efforts, we can achieve excellent results, sometimes even beyond our own imagination. Then you are a fit to the team!

For our office in Providence we are looking for a functionality designer to join our team. The functionality designer creates systems or processes with the physical components that are needed to fulfill the required functions of a product. Therefore, the functionality designer first describes the requirements that are intrinsically related to the product functions without aiming at specific solutions; the functional skeleton. The next step is to explore what is needed to physically design the components which make it a product that works like it should according to the expectations and preferences of the client, its stakeholders and the end-users. By testing it thoroughly and accurately in our lab or external test-institutes, a product is checked to ensure that it meets the requirements.
