Product Designer/Engineer | Delft

For our office in Delft we are looking for a producibility designer to join our team. A producibility designer can translate a (sketched) design on paper or mockup into the high-quality set of 3D CAD files and 2D drawings that is required for producing high-quality parts and assemblies, managing tolerance chains on all levels and knows how to guide the production process towards complete assembly and manufacturing verification. In an interdisciplinary product development team of designers and engineers you will develop integrated concepts for a product or product series. We need you to be well connected with all your colleagues of the MMID-Group, but you will mainly work at our location in Delft. You understand the energy and dynamics of a professional organization like MMID and you do feel at home in this environment.

Who are you

  • A technical university degree in engineering / design engineering / industrial design;
  • Good knowledge of your profession, design methods and industrial production methods;
  • At least 5-8 years of experience as a designer or engineer;
  • Experience in taking the lead in big projects;
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written (knowledge of the German language is a plus);
  • Knowledge in CAD packages and design tools and have knowledge to specify 3D data into 2D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo Parametric);
  • Visualization skills to communicate your ideas (Sketch, MS Powerpoint and the Adobe Creative Suit);
  • Affinity with surface modeling and/or FEM Analysis.
